We plan on leaving New Orleans with a rental car. At Budget we discover that we can’t pick up the car Christof reserved. He left his German driver’s license at home, thinking that the International license is a replacement for his German license. It isn’t. What now?

Although we plan to drive all the way to New Orleans and need to return the car to the airport by 3:30, I simply can’t leave Orange Beach – a place people drive from Tennessee and further to holiday at – without at least quickly jumping into the Gulf. [Read more…]

We got off early and stopped for a cup of coffee at one of the many cute shopping centers, crammed with expensive cars and well-dressed people. Christof used the breakfast break to shop the internet for car rentals, and found one at the Ft. Walton Airport that we can pick up today! [Read more…]
